Chinese module producer ReneSola has struck a deal to provide 63MW of modules to Thailand’s Energy Absolute.
The manufacturer will provide 63MW of its Virtus II modules to solar and wind farm developer Energy Absolute between August and October this year as part of a project in Nakornsawan, Thailand.
The deal follows a number of sales for ReneSola in Southeast Asia including several in Japan this year alone.
“We have been a leading provider of PV products in Southeast Asia since last year,” claimed Xianshou Li, CEO, ReneSola.
“This contract demonstrates to our customers that our high-efficiency Virtus modules not only meet the requirements of traditional European and American markets, but also are suited for the high temperatures and tropical conditions of Southeast Asia. As we look ahead, we hope to generate additional business in the emerging solar markets of Southeast Asia.”
The company also entered the South Korean market with its first sale in the country recorded in June, 2013.
