San Francisco-based Solmentum has opened its latest sales office in Walnut Creek, California, adding to its seven other sales offices located throughout California and New Jersey. Solmentum sells metered electricity to homeowners and gives them the chance to “go solar” without paying the upfront costs of an entire PV system.
“Solmentum has chosen Walnut Creek because we believe many homeowners here will find it makes great financial sense to go solar,” said Jason Brown, CEO of Solmentum. “Our job is to find the homeowners in the Walnut Creek area who would benefit financially from our approach to solar but have no idea their homes qualify.”
The company noted that since many homes do not qualify, it complements traditional market methods with specific strategies that allow Solmentum to find the right homeowners and begin a long-term relationship with them.
“We’ve already begun building a team of local rising stars in the solar industry with eight employees from the area,” said Ben Otto, Solmentum vice president and head of the new Walnut Creek office. “We invest over 300 hours in annual training in every Solmentum employee to ensure our team is well prepared to help our customers figure out if solar is right for them. We are looking forward to meeting more highly qualified job seekers.”
