Royal Wine Corp’s (RWC) Bayonne, New Jersey corporate headquarters is home to a new 1.15MW rooftop solar installation. Installed across 4 acres of rooftop space, the solar system, owned and operated by RWC, holds the ability to produce up to 65% of the power needs for the company over its 20-year lifetime.
“We are very proud to take this step to further our commitment to sustainability in our operations and reduce our carbon footprint,” said Sheldon Ginsberg, executive vice president of RWC. “This is one of many green initiatives undertaken by Royal Wine Corp. and our affiliates and it further reflects our pride and commitment to the United States, energy conservation and overall efficiency.”
Using 5,000 Schott Solar polycrystalline solar panels, the solar installation will see RWC participated with the federally sponsored American Recovery Act, which allows a 30% federal grant for the installation. Additionally, RWC intends to take part in the New Jersey Clean Energy Program, which lets companies earn solar renewable energy certificates.
