A 48MW PV project in North Italy being completed by S.A.G. Solarstrom by the end of August, 2011 has received a financing commitment of €80 million from the Deutsche Bank. The project was started late last year and has its own substation connected to the high-voltage grid, according to the company. The interim financing of the project will mature at the end of 2012.
Trina Solar was awarded a major part of the module supply deal for the project, totalling 36MWp of polycrystalline modules. S.A.G. Solarstrom told PV-Tech that Yingli Green Energy was another module supplier to the project in Serenissima, Italy.
The S.A.G. Solarstrom project could be one of last large-scale ground mounted projects in Italy after the FiT changes recently announced.
