Scatec Solar revealed that it has started construction on its 2.5MW PV plant in Utscheid, Germany and plans to complete and connect the project to the grid in August. Once operational, the plant will generate 2.3 million kWh of renewable energy per year with 10,600 REC Solar modules and SMA inverters. Developed by Copcon, Scatec Solar will design, build and commission the plant, which will be operated by the municipality of Utscheid.
“We are very pleased to have won the public tender to build this PV plant,” stated Raymond Carlsen, CEO of Scatec Solar. “This is proof that we have the competitive capabilities to deliver high quality, commercially sound projects even in a narrow time frame.”
