Scheuten Solar’s BIPV project at a school of agriculture in the French region of Bourges is now complete. The company delivered 334 PVB glass-glass solar modules to the school in time for completion.
Scheuten also gave technical support to its customer regarding the country specific building codes, which are due to get more detailed based on the new BIPV regulations brought in with feed-in tariff updates. An official test also took place on the site. By August 2009 334 PVB modules and 50 insulated glass-glass modules with a total power output of approximately 100kWp were fitted in the roof.
“Contractor Athema is very pleased about its collaboration with Scheuten Solar. The development of the project and the assembly of the Optisol modules were carried out in record time. This enabled us to respect our delivery deadlines with a quality product that fully satisfied our customer”, stated Mr. Puisset, Chairman of Athema.
“The PVB film is a perfect complement to our reliable solutions for complex BIPV. I’m very proud that a short period after introducing this new solution a project with these PVB modules has already been completed. This proves that our innovations for BIPV seamlessly fit current market demands”, stated Ariane Bischoff, Product Market Manager BIPV.
