SemiSouth Laboratories, Inc. named Chris Thompson as Vice President of Marketing and Dan Schwob as Vice President of Sales in time to help get new technologies for solar, wind, datacenter and hybrid applications underway. Both bring a vast amount of experience to SemiSouth in the solar, wind and power electronics arenas.
Thompson was previously VP and GM of Solar Inverters for Advanced Energy Industries. He was also VP of Engineering and Product Development at Xantrex Technology and Director of Datacenter Power Solutions at American Power Conversion. He brings over 15 years of knowledge to SemiSouth in sales, marketing, and product development in renewable energy, datacenters, and UPS.
“We are equally excited to have Chris come on board. Schwob brings 30 years of experience from the sales and marketing aspect of power electronics and semiconductor devices. Before SemiSouth, Schwob was VP of Marketing for iWatt Corporation and VP of Sales at IXYS.
“Dan is a veteran power semiconductor sales and marketing executive, having built sales organizations and market share at our target customers in solar, IT and Telecom Power markets while at IXYS. His global experience and industry relationships with customers and sales channels will be a big asset,” said Kenney Roberts, CEO of SemiSouth.
