Andreas Liebheit has been named Solarfun’s vice president and managing director for the EMEA region, effective from January 1st, 2010. The China-based cell and ingot manufacturer has added the former Solon and Infineon executive to its team to boost the company’s business growth.
Departing his former role as head of the solar modules business unit for Solon SE, Liebheit has also worked in various roles for Infineon AG, including a post as vice president of sales and business development security products. He also had a four-year tenure in international business development divisions of Infineon AG, working in Tokyo, Japan and Munich, Germany. Liebheit has a master’s degree in physics from Munich University in Germany and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Montpellier University in France.
