solarhybrid AG has started construction work on the first 39MW installation phase of its 123MW Vega solar power plant in Italy.
The initial development stage will involve laying foundations, assembling module plates, building transformer stations and connecting the medium voltage line to the feed-in point. At the start of next year the PV modules and inverters will be added to the system, before grid connection is achieved in March.
Equipping the project will be JA Solar (modules), SMA (inverters), Siemens (transformer station) and Hilti (mounting systems), while Conecon, Enerparc, Biosar and BFP are assisting with installation and planning.
Installation of the remaining 84MW will begin in Q2 2012 and finish by the end of the year.
