Module shipments at SolarWorld increased 58% and revenue 50% in the first-half of 2010. The company shipped 377MW compared to 239MW in the first half of 2009. Manufacturing capacity remains full. Solar cell production increased by approximately 35% in the first half of the year at its Hillsboro, Oregon plant and will reach full capacity utilization by the first quarter of 2011, the company said.

SolarWorld reported revenue of €608.4 million compared to € 403.4 million in the first half of 2009, a 50.8% increase. EBIT for the first half of the year amounted to €81.2 million compared with €83.3 in the first half of 2009, with EBIT margin of 13.3%.
