Dutch law firm, Boels Zanders handling the legal administrative duties of Scheuten Solar after announcing its financial difficulties in late February 2011, has said that Sunway Technology Investment Co. Ltd has acquired the commercial activities of Scheuten Solar, primarily the international sales offices and its PV projects business operations for an undisclosed sum. The law firm said that 32 job had been secured with the purchase.

In respect to Scheuten Solar’s specialist glass and BIPV operations, Optisol the law firm said that negotiations regarding a takeover were ongoing and were expected to be concluded this week.

The PV module manufacturing operations in Gelsenkirchen has yet to find a buyer but negotiations were ongoing with an unidentified potential buyer.
