Independent solar power producer Sonnedix has acquired a 23.5MWp portfolio of PV projects in France from French renewable energy specialist EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN).
The portfolio consists of two operating PV projects in Istres and Saint Martin de Crau in the southeast of France. The projects were developed and constructed by EDF EN whilst operation and maintenance services are provided by one of its subsidiaries. Each project benefits from a 20-year power purchase agreement with EDF.
Following the acquisition, Sonnedix’s portfolio now comprises almost 100MW of operational projects globally with an additional 15MW currently under construction.
“This latest investment is the third plant we have acquired from the EDF EN group,” said Franck Constant, Chairman of Sonnedix. “It is a highly efficient plant, well engineered and built to last, which we value as a long term investor and manager. We look forward to broaden our partnership with EDF EN”.
