Spire Solar and UNICOR have signed a non-exclusive Teaming Agreement to bring PV systems to the Federal Government.
Spire Solar Systemsis expected to expand its services into the U.S. federal market while continuing to supply commercial markets with solar PV electric systems. The company has put in place mandated renewable energy goals of 7.5% by 2013 required by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT). In a bid to make this goal more attainable, Spire is combining its resources with UNICOR.
“Spire Solar and UNICOR teaming will strengthen Spire’s presence in the federal market as well as provide UNICOR with the engineering support they need to provide quality systems to their customer base,” said Roger G. Little, Chairman and CEO of Spire Corporation. “We are confident in UNICOR’s manufacturing knowledge of the federal market and equally confident in our systems engineering expertise. Together we bring something unique to the federal marketplace.”
