Effective the end of November, Sputnik company boss, Phillipp Müller will no longer work for the company. Christoph von Bergen will now assume the role of managing director as well as acquiring Müller’s company shares. This change follows the recent news ofHans-Georg Schweikardt becoming the new Head of Product Management.
With this change looming, Sputnik made some company changes back in Spring 2009. Jürg Zehnder now stands as head of the new department ‘Supply Chain Management’ in Sputnik’s headquarters in Biel and Andreas Mader is now leading Sputnik’s development department – this was one of Müller’s previous responsibilities.
“I have decided to leave the company in this phase of its success, in order to take on new responsibilities in a smaller environment”, explains Müller.
“We and our entire managment team are convinced that we will master this new challenge and will continue on our successful course with a high degree of motivation and identification for Sputnik Engineering”, says von Bergen. “Mader and Zehnder have integrated themselves in the team in a very short period of time and have already proven that they are able to react optimally to market requirements that change quickly, even in the most hectic of times.”
