Sungevity is branching out into international territory with the recent announcement that it had bought an equity stake in Dutch solar company Zonline. The partnership will see Sungevity supply Zonline with its brand-named software tools, including its remote solar design services and brand identity assets.
The agreement takes effect November 25 with Sungevity’s Oakland, California-based remote solar design staff producing iQuotes, the company’s online price quote, for potential Zonline customers. Sungevity noted that this it is the first US residential solar company to break into the international market.
“Sungevity is at the forefront of the solar leasing market with their best-in-class customer service and they have the most efficient and scalable business model in the residential solar industry,” said Roebyem Anders, Chief Executive Officer, Zonline. “Leveraging Sungevity's tools and assets will allow us to ramp quickly and spur the adoption of clean, affordable energy to Dutch homeowners.”
