A PV project in Rajastan is to receive 5MW of Sungrow Power Supply’s wall-mounted string inverter SG30KTL units.
The project will be PV power supply equipment manufacturer Sungrow’s first business in India, with inverters already installed in Germany, Spain, Malaysia, and Australia.
“The Indian PV industry has huge growth potential; it's the first step to India, a solid milestone for our international cooperation and expansion based on the proven performance of the product,” said Raymond Wong, vice president of Sungrow, adding that Sungrow is “utterly confident” in future opportunities in India, and other emerging PV markets.
The Sungrow SG30KTL inverters recently received a double A grade rating from medium and high irradiation tests at Photon Lab, and is ranked number first for inverters manufactured in Asia and above 20kW.
Rajastan State’s installed solar capacity is second only to Gujarat State, which recently lost investor interest over an anti-dumping dispute. Rajastan now has 75MW commissioned for 2013 through Rajasthan’s Renewable Energy Certificates (RECCs).
