James Michael “Mike” Williams and Katherine “Kate” Reid Sherwood have been newly appointed by SunLink as the company’s senior vice president of engineering and senior vice president of sales, respectively. “SunLink has expanded its senior management team to help us manage our rapid growth, develop new product lines, and improve our customer service,” said Christopher Tilley, CEO of SunLink. “Both Mike Williams and Kate Sherwood have the experience and drive to help SunLink build out a world-class and scalable organization as the leader in the PV mounting and balance of systems solutions space.”
Williams is a 30-year veteran in systems management, research and development and construction field operations. He previously worked with Parsons Brinckerhoff as its senior vice president and chief information officer; positions that saw him manage the firm’s global technologies teams. Williams has also served in different senior-level positions for global engineering at the Bechtel Corporation. He earned his doctorate and masters in civil engineering from Stanford University after completing his bachelor of science at the University of Colorado.
Kate Sherwood has a background in the solar industry from working as a sales team member at both Recurrent Energy and SunPower. She cultivated past sales, marketing, consulting and finance experience with Accenture, Sun Microsystems and the U.S Department of Justice. Sherwood is a graduate of George Mason University where she earned her bachelor of science degree and holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
