German PV systems integrator Sunova has installed a 110kWp PV array on the rooftop of a bakery owned by Peter Backwaren OHG located in Munich, Germany.
The PV array is equipped with crystalline modules supplied by Trina Solar which cover 111.5 square metres of roof space. The modules are mounted on Sunova’s MCG 1.1 roof mounting system which, the company states, has been specifically designed for flat roofs.
Electricity generated by the PV installation will be consumed on-site by the bakery, helping Peter Backwaren OHG to reduce its operating costs in the long-term.
By converting its bakery to solar, Peter Backwaren OHG has been awarded the Essenes Environmental Award 2012 by the Stadtsparkasse Food and Urban Environmental Department which recognises energy efficient building projects.
