SunPower will supply 41MW of modules to four new solar power plants in France.
The deal with La Compagnie du Vent, a subsidiary of GDF Suez, has already seen panels delivered for the 12MW Langele plant in Aquitaine, which was commissioned in early October.
The four projects were successful in the country’s tender process, which is managed by the French Energy Regulatory Commission.
“Since 2012, La Compagnie du Vent has been a valued SunPower partner, and we are pleased to assist them in delivering an additional 41MW of emission-free solar power for homes and businesses in France,” said SunPower Executive vice president Jorg Heinemann.
The other three projects included in the contract Roc du Doun project in Limousin (12MW), La Forest Marcoles in Auvergne (12MW) and the 5MW Le Mouruen Signes in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region.
All will be operational by the end of 2015.
