Zhongli Talesun has launched the all new ‘TalesunSmart’ PV module series, which incorporates specialised electronics, which are able to collect real-time performance and safety data.
In conventional PV arrays the power output could be seriously impacted by module mismatch. Eliminating such variables using embedded electronics within each module is claimed to provide higher overall system yield.
TalesunSmart technology enables every module be optimised to its maximum output, and automatically fixes mismatch. PV systems are claimed to achieve up to 20% more energy than conventional string PV systems. TalesunSmart modules automatically deactivate in the event of electrical or fire emergency response. The technology can deactivate on a module-level both by manual and automatically, which is claimed yo eliminate the danger of high voltage for emergencies and maintenance.
Residential and commercial rooftops.
The TalesunSmart module is said to work with all inverter types. The company claims 30% more modules could be installed on each string, while PV systems need less BOS (Balance of Systems) and are easier to install.
May 2014 onwards.
