Renewable energy leader TerraForm Power has named Alejandro Hernandez as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective on 29 September 2014.
Prior to his time with TerraForm Power, Hernandez was the managing director of the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs.
Carlos Domenech, president and CEO of TerraForm Power, said: “Mr. Hernandez's broad-based experience as an energy finance professional, including his expertise in M&A and capital formation, provides TerraForm Power a solid platform to help drive the future growth of our company. We welcome [Alejandro] and look forward to working with him as a core member of the TerraForm Power team.”
Hernandez will take the place of Sanjeev Kumar, who will return to EverStream Energy Capital Management while also continuing to offer assistance on joing projects with TerraForm Power and SunEdison .
Domenech added: “Mr. Kumar was instrumental in the launch of TerraForm Power and its successful Initial Public Offering. I am pleased that he will be available to assist TerraForm Power during the transition between CFOs. I thank him for his contribution to the company and his continued partnership.”
