Surfect
Technologies, Inc., named Terry Gafron as the Product Manager, Software.
Gafron brings a vast amount of experience in electrical engineering and
automation programming. Before his appointment with Surfect, Gafron
worked at Micron Technology, Inc., from 2001 to 2008. He was most
recently the Characterization/Instrumentation Engineer for the company.
During his time at Micron he was also in charge of designing,
programming and implementing a wide range of test systems that involved
memory and radio frequency wafer technology.
Steve Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of Surfect, enthused, “We are pleased to have Terry Gafron joining us as Product Manager, Software. His experience developing software and systems for a wide array of mechanical test equipment and wafer technology is well suited to support our goal of mass-producing advanced metallization for solar wafers using our Direct Energy Plating (DEP(TM)) technology….”. He continued, “Furthermore, his proven track record in designing and implementing fully automated systems from start to finish at a substantially reduced cost will help ensure that our technologies are widely accepted in the marketplace.”
Gafron also established and managed an RF test equipment development company that provided RF test technology to customers working with local investors and has co-authored various technical articles on semiconductor technology. In addition, he shares a portfolio of three patents, one of which has been granted and the others in various stages of approval. Gafron received both his B.S and M.S. in electrical engineering from Boise State University in Idaho.
