Trina Solar has increased its presence in the growing UK solar market by opening a new office in Castle Donington, Derby, reports Solar Power Portal.
Coinciding with the opening is the appointment of Richard Rushin as UK sales manager. Rushin, who will be responsible for all the sales activity from Castle Donington, has 25 years of experience in senior sales and business development roles, most recently as business development director at energy efficiency firm Mark Group.
”Clearly, we face challenging times with confusion around the UK FiT level and a global manufacturing consolidation in PV, it was on this basis I that I decided to join an organisation that had the vision and commercial positioning to win through and establish itself as a market leader around the world over the next few years,” Rushin said. “Partnering with the right companies will be vital during these tumultuous times and I look forward to working with key UK industry stakeholders to achieve good outcomes.
“I am genuinely excited about expanding the Trina Solar brand awareness in the UK and forging long-term strategic partnerships to achieve greater market share across the segments.”
Trina Solar has recently received ISO 14064-1:2006 verification from the British Standards Institute as well as making a European debut with its new Trinamount mounting system in a 50kWp retrofit installation in Cumbria.
