In partnership with Valsolar and Soprema, United Solar has completed the 570kWp solar power plant on the rooftop of Nice Saint Isidore Eco-vallee Business Park in Nice, France. The site is owned by the Nice Cote d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and consists of four buildings totalling in 96,875 square foot roof space, which has been outfitted with Uni-Solar photovoltaics.
Valsolar oversaw the construction, installation and financing for the solar project and selected waterproof building materials manufacturer Soprema to supply its SopraSolar, which uses Uni-Solar’s flexible thin-film laminates bonded to a Soprema membrane substrate. The new installation is expected to produce 650,000kWh of energy per year.
“This multi-rooftop project highlights the unique capabilities of the Uni-Solar product for building-integrated applications,” said Ted Amyuni, president-EMEA of United Solar. “Our Uni-Solar laminates are flexible, lightweight and durable, and can be integrated into any architecture while ensuring the waterproofing function of the roof. We look forward to continued success in the French BIPV market with partners like Soprema and Valsolar.”
