West Coast Quartz Corporation (WCQ) has hired a new Silicon Operations Director, Dr. Zbigniew Radzimski. As a manufacturer of silicon crystal and precision quartz and silicon components for semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, WCQ is “exceedingly pleased to have him join” their leadership team.
Dr. Radzimski served as a professor in the Material Science and Engineering Department of North Carolina State University and later took up the office of President/CEO of Shin-Etsu Handotai America. Prior to his new position with WCQ, he worked as the President of Silicon Quest International, a specialty silicon wafer company.
WCQ President Paul Maloney commented on the long-term relationship with Dr. Radzimski and the reason for his appointment to the company: “after expanding our silicon crystal growing division in both Czochralski as well as Bridgman methods across two crystal growing facilities, it was time to bring in a seasoned and well-reasoned materials and management expert to guide us to the next level and next geometries.”
