German PV project developer Wirsol Solar has announced the sale of its 15.7MW solar facility in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany.
The company revealed that a company called Zeno along with a utility firm called Floss and several other private investors and companies have purchased various sections of the facility. Wirsol, meanwhile, will hold on to a 1.6% stake in the plant.
The PV facility was built on a 14.6 hectare former gravel quarry just under a year ago and houses more than 65,000 PV modules. The company did not disclose the annual output of the plant but stated that it would be enough to displace 11,200 tonnes of CO2.
A team led by Dr Niklas Ganssauge advised Wirsol on all legal aspects of the sale. CMS Hasche Sigle has been providing support to Wirsol Solar on the project for one and a half years, from acquisition of the project rights through project development and construction to the sale of the park.
