Sungrow Power partners on two 50MW PV projects in Gansu Province

Major PV inverter manufacturer, Sungrow Power Supply is partnering on plans for two PV power plants totalling around 100MW in two regions within Gansu Province, China.

Sungrow said that it was partnering on a 49MW PV project in Suzhou District, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province with a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun Power Co. The project was expected to start construction in May, 2014.

A second 50MW PV project is planned between Sungrow and Sun Power Co in Gan Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, although a detailed feasibility study report and financing have yet to be concluded, according to Sungrow.

Gansu Province has been given a ground mounted PV power plant quota of 550MW for 2014 by the Chinese government.
