Solar PV and polysilicon manufacturing equipment specialist centrotherm photovoltaics has secured a major supply deal from a customer in Asia. 

centrotherm said that a single large order valued at around €45 million, (US$47.8 million) had been secured from a customer in Asia, which included technology and turnkey lines for monocrystalline solar cells.

The major order resulted in the company starting the year with around €80 million in order backlog, according to centrotherm. 

The brief financial statement did not disclose timelines for the major order being shipped and commissioned.
