Centrotherm’s 1H 2016 sales in PV and semiconductor segment reach €42.0 million

PV and polysilicon manufacturing equipment specialist centrotherm photovoltaics has reported first half 2016 consolidated revenue of €61.9 million and an order intake for the period of €89.5 million.

centrotherm reported sales in its core Photovoltaics & Semiconductor segment of €42 million, up from €38.4 million in the prior year period. Segment total operating revenue increase by 27 % to €55.9 million. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were €1.1 million.

Photovoltaics & Semiconductor segment new orders in the first half of 2016 stood at  €85.4 million, compared to €29.5 million in the prior year period.

Total Group operating revenue was €75.9 million, down from €91.7 million in the prior year period. Group EBIT in the first half of 2016 stood at a negative €1.7 million Consolidated group earnings were negative €2.1 million.

The Group's order book had increased to €142.6 million, compared with €113.5 million at the end of 2015.

Revenues in the Silicon segment were €12.3 million following as completion of a polysilicon plant in Qatar neared completion. 

Guidance

centrotherm Group full year revenue guidance remained unchanged at €120 million to €150 million. Overall, the company expects at least breakeven level for the year.
