China Sunergy brings Bob Rice aboard as VP and CSO

China Sunergy (CSUN) revealed that, effective since September 15, Robert Rice was appointed as the company’s chief sales, marketing and strategy officer as well as its vice president. Rice manages corporate international expansion and sales and marketing functions for the company in order to expand CSUN’s global market presence. Rice will additionally spearhead the establishment of long-term industry partnerships and the recruitment of a global sales team.

Rice received his MBA in finance from the University of Washington in Seattle. He has over 25 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, distribution, strategy and management experience. Before he began his own Asia-focused consulting firm, Rice was president and CEO of Fiat Auto China and vice chairman of Fiat’s JV Nanjing Fiat Automotive Company.

In addition, Rice spent ten years in sales and senior management roles with General Motors Asia Pacific where he held positions such as chief representative and country director for General Motors in China. He is also credited with serving in executive positions with Alcoa Asia, Tokyo for seven years.
