CPV company Soliant Energy names Ben Jamison as VP of marketing

Concentrated photovoltaics systems company Soliant Energy has brought Ben Jamison on board as its new VP of marketing. Jamison, who will report to chairman/CEO Terry Bailey, is a seasoned marketing executive with more than three decades of experience with leading companies in dynamic and growth markets. He will be responsible for all marketing-related activities at the Monrovia, Ca-based CPV firm, including product management and field applications.

Most recently, Jamison was VP of sales at Savant Systems, a provider of advanced consumer electronics systems for residential and commercial customers. In this role, he spearheaded efforts to build comarketing agreements with over 35 top manufacturers and established an international dealer/distributor network of over 300 participants, increasing revenue by more than 250% in 2009.

Before joining Savant, he was VP of sales and marketing for Visionware, Inc.. He has also held senior marketing and sales roles at Runco International, Solus Micro Technologies and NEC Technologies.
