GET wafer sales remain strong in July

Tawian-based solar wafer producer Green Energy Technology (GET) continued to operate plants above 95% in July, increasing sales 3.1% from the prior month.

GET reported consolidated sales for July, 2015 of NT$1,188 million (US$37.1 million), 2.2% lower from the prior year, primarily due to lower ASPs.

GET achieved net sales for the first half of 2015 of NT$ 7,432 million (US$232.1 million), gross margin rate was negative 9%, and reported a net loss of NT$ 967 million (US$30.1 million). 

The company noted that it expected solar pricing and demand to increase in the second half of the year.
