Hareon Solar plans PV factory and solar parks in southern Mexico

Chinese solar manufacturer Hareon Solar has announced an initial investment of US$50 million for projects in Mexico, claim media reports.

José Zorrilla de San Martín Diego, Secretary of Tourism and Economic Development of Mexico announced that this initial investment will be for the development of solar PV parks as well as a manufacturing facility.

Local news portal Noticiasnet.mx states Hareon’s facility could potentially have a total cell and module production capacity of 600MW. This would require an investment of US$180 million, with funding expected to come from both private and public sources.
