In a financial deal that is said to be one of the largest ever within the renewable energy sector, investment firm, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) has purchased a one-third stake in ACCIONA Energía International (AEI) for €417 million (US$567.3 million). ACCIONA Energía is to retain two-thirds ownership of AEI.

Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. CEO Warren Buffett certainly made his presence felt at the Edison Electric Institute’s annual convention in Las Vegas on Monday. Despite speaking at an event hosted by perhaps the leader in anti-solar sentiment amongst utilities in the US, Buffett nonetheless announced that he plans to double the amount of money that Berkshire Hathaway has invested into both the PV and wind energy markets in the US.

Inverter manufacturer Enphase Energy has entered into an agreement with general contractor North State Solar Energy, under which North State Solar Energy will be an exclusive installers of Enphase's American Pride microinverters in commercial and residential PV installations in Northern and Central California.
