Brian Jacolick (pictured), former Vice President of sales for SunEdison, has been promoted to General Manager for the North America region and in this role will oversee operations for the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Mr. Jacolick will be based in Beltsville, Maryland, and will report directly to CEO Tom Rainwater.

Dr. Stephen R. Forrest (pictured) has been added to the Applied Materials Board of Directors and also to the Strategic Committee of the Board. An expert in the fields of optoelectronics and organic compounds, Dr. Forrest is a well-known lecturer, fellow of IEEE and recipient of many awards for his inventions and innovations.

Greentech Media, Inc. has announced the completion of a Series B Round of financing, raising $2.75million, and the subsequent appointment of a senior analyst to drive the company’s corporate growth. Michael Kanellos, well known in the industry for his role as CNET Green Technology Editor, brings experience in producing and analysing content to his new role as Senior Analyst for the company.

Sheldon Reinhart, former CFO for Strategy First, Inc. has been appointed CFO and COO of ICP Solar Technologies, Inc. Bringing over 20 years of finance and technology experience to the role, Mr. Reinhart will oversee the company’s financial affairs and global operations in the role that was vacated by Leon Assayag in early May, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.

As Country Manager of SunEdison Canada, Ron Mantay will lead the company’s development of utility-scale and rooftop solar power projects and also takes on responsibility for the company’s business operations. His new role will see him report to company Vice President of International, Len Jornlin.

Departing the role of Vice President of sales, Steve Daniel’s (pictured) new role as Executive Vice President of sales and marketing for Akeena Solar will see him drive the company’s expansion in the U.S. with the promotion of the company’s Andalay solar panel system.

Voltaix has hired two industry veterans from the materials sector of the semiconductor industry to support its growth in both semiconductor and photovoltaics industries. Gregory T. Muhr has been appointed as Global Sales Manager and Jay Song, Ph.D. as Technical Marketing Director.

ICP Solar Technologies, Inc. has appointed sales veteran Bill Kilduff as Eastern Regional Vice President of Sales. Mr. Kilduff brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and management experience to the role, and has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Daniel Lui has been named as new CFO for JA Solar following the announcement of Herman Zhao’s retirement from the role. The replacement will come into effect on May 10th when Mr. Zhao steps down.

BioSolar, Inc. has enlisted the expertise of Dr. Charles Carraher (pictured) by appointing him to its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Carraher has been the recipient of several awards and recognitions over the course of his over 40 years in the hi-tech industry, and his research on polymers has been widely accredited.
