Astronergy has announced that its PV testing centre has been awarded Witness Test Data Program (WTDP) certification by UL Solutions, underlining the company’s leading position in technology innovation, quality management and testing capabilities.
The UL WTDP authorizes selected laboratories to conduct tests under its supervision, with results obtained directly accepted by UL Solutions, thus streamlining the certification process for products.
Established in 2016, the Astronergy testing centre is able to carry out more than 30 types of test to ensure the effective operation of PV modules under a range of harsh environmental conditions prior to mass production and has to date also received accreditation from CNAS and CTC and is already a TÜV Rheinland Witness Test laboratory.
The additional certification from UL will allow the centre to continue to significantly reduce sample shipment costs and testing waiting time, thereby shortening product testing cycles, enhancing testing efficiency, accelerating new product launches and facilitating rapid entry into target markets.
