Trina Solar has received IEC62817 certification for its TrinaTracker Vanguard Series from the Certification Entity for Renewable Energies (CERE), a leading European independent testing, simulation, certification and inspection body. Pioneering in the matching of trackers with ultra-high power modules, Trina Solar now offers its new generation of Vanguard trackers compatible with 660W, 600W and 550W modules, leading to increased power gain, reduced LCOE and optimized system value. The IEC certification underlines the industry's recognition of the TrinaTracker technology, its robust performance and its highly reliable product quality.

600W+ has become the new industry standard for ultra-high power modules, placing more stringent demands on the structural design and reliability of trackers. In response to industry developments and technological advances, Trina Solar launched its TrinaTracker Vanguard 600+ Series, based on four core product advantages: high reliability, higher  yield gain, low O&M (operation & maintenance) costs and a unified contact channel between modules and trackers. The Vanguard series uses an intelligent tracking algorithm independently developed by Trina Solar, which can receive more scattered radiation, leading to higher system energy production and increasing energy gain of 3%-8% over traditional astronomical algorithms.

The IEC62817 standard consists of strict design requirements, test methods and judgment bases for structural strength, tracking accuracy, reliability and durability of a solar tracker and is considered to be the most  comprehensive and authoritative of evaluation standards. The TrinaTracker Vanguard has passed more than 20 reliability assessments in testing carried out in CERE’s advanced simulation test laboratory, including functional tests, expediting circulation tests, UV tests, deformation testing under static load, mechanical slip and recoil tests and control cabinet vibration and impact tests under transportation.

CERE’s certification team has over 50 years of professional experience in the renewable energy industry, providing renewable energy manufacturers worldwide with testing, simulation and certification services.

“Trina Solar's new generation TrinaTracker Vanguard series passed IEC certification in one go. It demonstrates Trina Solar's continuous investment in research into reliability and module compatibility,” said Miguel Martinez, CERE’s Certification Manager.

Duan Shunwei, head of Trina’s tracker business unit, added: “Adhering  to our principle of ‘driven by innovation means greater reliability’, Trina Solar’s tracking solution is dedicated to offering customers high quality, reliable, ultra-high power trackers and services, and we will continue to promote technical innovation and industry-wide standardization of trackers to expedite further reduction of LCOE and ultimately bring more return on investment to our customers.”
