DAS Solar Chairman and President Liu Yong has taken part in the 2024 edition of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), participating in a subforum on leading high-quality development through innovation, sustainability, digital intelligence and integration. The event, in South China’s Hainan province, was attended by more than 3,000 guests including government representatives, heads of international organizations and entrepreneurs.
Liu spoke at a panel discussion, addressing technological innovation driving new productivity, green integrated development in the new energy industry and improving core competitiveness.
He expressed the view that the Chinese PV industry is leading the global energy transition as countries continue to pursue zero carbon goals.
A large number of attendees were attracted to the TOPCon solar cells displayed in the exhibition area. DAS is a leader in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency, its current average mass production efficiency standing at 26.55%, with a technology roadmap including five pathways – TBC, SCPC, SFOS and TSiX – which will ultimately result in a cell efficiency of up to 40%.
At present, the company operates subsidiaries in Germany, Australia and Japan, with plans to enhance its presence in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
