Trina Solar has announced that a 500MW PV power station exclusively deploying its Vertex N 700W modules in a high-altitude desert region of northwest China has been connected to the grid. The plant, owned by the Datang Qinghai New Energy Development Company, is part of the first group of solar and wind power generation plants to be located in the Gobi Desert and other arid regions and has an average annual energy yield of some 1 billion kWh.
Yunduan Cao, head of branding and marketing at Trina Solar, commented: “Our Vertex N 700W modules have proven their excellent reliability in extended testing by RETC and have already operated successfully across a wide range of challenging conditions.”
