Hopewind has announced that it has been officially nominated for the 2024 Smarter E award for its grid-forming capable 385kW utility-scale string inverter, the only Chinese inverter manufacturer among the finalists.
The Smarter E award is an industry accolade that recognises innovative concepts and technologies in the fields of energy and mobility. The award is presented to companies that make significant contributions to the advancement of a 24/7 renewable energy supply.
Hopewind VP Sara Wang commented: “We are thrilled to be nominated for this year’s Smarter E award. Being a finalist indicates that Hopewind is now widely recognised as a pioneer in global inverter technical innovation. As the first inverter manufacturer in the world to obtain DNV certification for grid-forming, we are taking this technology to wind power converters, photovoltaic inverters, energy storage PCS, hydrogen production power supplies and SVG, constructing a smart grid ecology.”
Dr. Radovan Kopecek, cofounder and director of the International Solar Energy Research Center in Konstanz (ISC), also expressed his congratulations on the nomination. “We sincerely congratulate Hopewind as an advisory member of ISC on its nomination for the Smarter E award. Outstanding performance and quality are the key to the company’s success and we look forward to joining forces on the application of its grid-forming technology in smart grids and accelerating the arrival of the TW era in Europe”.
