Hopewind has announced the signing of a strategic distribution agreement with Mairotec Energy, in a significant step towards harnessing, in partnership with Heide Solar, the potential of innovative Agri-PV in Germany.
Mairotec MD Andreas Mathes commented: “As a distributor for AIKO Solar modules for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we are excited to expand our portfolio with Hopewind for C&I inverters for Agri-PV and beyond. With our foray into B2B solar solutions and the launch of the AIRO GenAI platform as part of the Mairotec Group, this agreement will enable us to also jointly explore the role of AI in advancing solar technology.”
Thomas auf Rakow, founder and CEO of Heide Solar, also highlighted the importance of the partnership: “For 20 years, we have been committed to the development of sustainable solar energy and innovation in the central German region. Agri-PV can provide sustainable agriculture for future generations and, in cooperation with Dresden’s University of Technology and Economics and Anhalt’s University of Applied Sciences, we are carrying out research projects on the use of technology, micro-climates and water balances, as well as increasing biodiversity. With our long-standing experience, we are ready to provide end-to-end solutions for Agri-PV and we are delighted to be part of the collaboration between Hopewind and Mairotec Energy. We look forward to the innovative solutions that both companies can bring to the table, also with the help of AIRO as AI platform.”
Hopewind VP Sara Wang outlined the company’s future goals: “Since publishing our first sustainability report in 2022, Hopewind has made significant strides in eco-friendly projects. We have supplied 385kW of string inverters with grid-forming capabilities for a 2GW PV sand control initiative in Inner Mongolia and look forward to enhancing crop yields, conserving water and generating clean energy through our AI-driven Agri-PV solutions in collaboration with Mairotec Energy and Heide Solar.”
