Huasun Energy and Thai EPC Grow Energy have signed a framework agreement for the supply of 150MW of heterojunction (HJT) modules, some of which will be deployed at a floating project in Bangkok. Director of Overseas Sales and Project Development at Huasun, Jacky Chan and Grow General Manager Suttirote were the signatories of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of the two parties, under which Huasun will supply 150MW of its cutting-edge HJT modules for floating PV systems, ground power stations and commercial distributed projects in Thailand.

The projects will exclusively utilize Huasun’s independently developed high-efficiency bifacial HJT modules, with 60MW of total capacity allocated to floating projects and 90MW to be deployed at ground power plants and the construction of distributed rooftop systems for industrial and commercial use. The projects are set to break ground in 2024 and upon successful completion will consistently deliver green power to the local area.

The signing of the agreement reflects the growing recognition by Thai clients of the high power output, reliability, performance and return on investment of HJT products, with Huasun a leader in establishing the world’s first collaborative innovation platform for the industrialization of HJT technology, driving the introduction of processes such as double-sided microcrystalline and silver-plated copper.

The company’s Himalaya series G12-132 module, suitable for ground power stations, offers an outstanding power output of 744.43W and a peak efficiency of 23.96%, with the G10-144 module, targeted at the distributed market, capable of a maximum power output of 600W, surpassing TOPCon mainstream power levels by some 20W.

Huasun has previously achieved success in the floating sector with a 23MW fishery-solar hybrid project in China’s Anhui province delivering an annual average of 24.64 million kWh of clean electricity and contributing to a significant reduction of 24,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Southeast Asia is the focus for Huasun’s overseas market expansion this year, with Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia all showing increasing interest in HJT products.
