JinkoSolar high-efficiency dual glass bifacial solar panels have been installed at 18 Sinopec service stations in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province. The rooftop systems are located in retail outlets and have been certified as Class A fire-proof thanks to their electronic security design.

The installations mark a milestone in Sinopec’s solarization program for certain of its stations across the country, which commenced in late 2020. Work will accelerate in the coming year to equip more of the petroleum giant’s retail network stations with JinkoSolar’s next generation N-type Topcon modules, which combine higher efficiency and higher rated power.

“Sinopec service stations around China which are equipped with solar panels are more independent of the grid and consistent with the company’s ambition to become a major responsible energy player”, commented Dany Qian, VP at JinkoSolar. “We now plan to provide Sinopec’s newly solar-equipped retail outlets with our N-type Topcon dual glass bifacial panels. These provide 22% efficiency, an 85% bifacial factor and about 14A Isc to maximize the limited roof space while guaranteeing system security. This milestone achievement with Sinopec reflects our ability to support traditional oil and gas customers with cleaner, more affordable, safer electricity.”
