JinkoSolar has announced it has won a 100MW order to supply its Tiger Neo modules to the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) for an upcoming project in China, indicating that the company, the country’s biggest solar power developer, is moving its preferred technology toward the more advanced n-type TOPCon.

Before reaching a decision, SPIC carried out a comprehensive review of all available solutions, with  Tiger Neo’s low temperature coefficient, high power and energy density, coupled with an average module efficiency of over 22%, seemingly proving decisive.

Kangping Chen, Jinko Solar CEO, commented, “We are delighted that SPIC has chosen our next-generation, flagship Tiger Neo modules for its new project, reaffirming JinkoSolar as the top manufacturer of choice in China. Domestic demand for a steady, economically viable clean energy source will help the industry transition to a new era of energy generation. Designed to meet the needs of large-scale utility projects, PV systems adopting N-type TOPCon technology and operational solutions represent a sound investment for more cost-effective, reliable and profitable returns.”
