LONGi has announced it has won an order from Eurowind Energy for the supply of 64 MW of its high-efficiency Hi-MO 5 modules for three projects in Portugal and Denmark, with the country split being 22 MW and 42 MW respectively, the latter across two hybrid projects.
Jens Rasmussen, CEO at Eurowind Energy, commented: “Placing this order shows our commitment to solar PV in the Portuguese and Danish markets. This is further proof that solar is a fully integrated part of our business alongside our wind portfolio. We look forward to the arrival of the panels to begin the installation. We are confident that LONGi Solar will deliver on time and with the same high quality for which they have become known.”
Pedro Pereira, Managing Director for the Southern European region and Head of Eurowind Energy’s Solar Competence Center added: “We have been negotiating a framework module supply agreement with LONGi for some time and I’m pleased that we have finally concluded those negotiations and kicked off our first purchase orders for these three projects.”
Dennis She, LONGi Solar’s Senior Vice President, concluded: “LONGi is delighted to supply its high-efficiency Hi-MO 5 modules to Eurowind Energy and we look forward to further cooperation to create a net-zero carbon future by facilitating the application of green energy. LONGi’s combination of innovative technology and high quality has allowed the company to maintain its leading position in the industry in terms of reliability and stability.”
