Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has unveiled its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) ratings for 2023, raising JinkoSolar’s ranking to “BBB”, a two-level improvement within a year confirming the company as the first Chinese manufacturer to achieve such a milestone.

JinkoSolar’s proactive sustainability initiatives are reflected in its leading positions across three key dimensions: Clean Tech Opportunities, Corporate Governance and Corporate Behaviour, as highlighted in the MSCI scorecard.

In Clean Tech Opportunities, the company strategically positions itself in advanced crystalline silicon, cell and module technologies, securing a prominent position on the global solar cell patent ranking (TOP30) by IPRdaily.

Regarding Corporate Governance, the company adopts TCFD logic and constructs ESG management strategies, earning recognition including the “ISSB International Sustainable Disclosure Standards Pioneer Partner” certificate and an “A” rating in the annual information disclosure assessment.

In terms of Corporate Behaviour, JinkoSolar enforces a robust monitoring mechanism, upholding principles of honesty, integrity and compliance. The company actively contributes to global carbon reduction, having joined initiatives including the RE100, and committing to “net-zero emissions” by 2050 through the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
