Sunport Power has announced that its MWT S-Flex module was chosen to power a recently installed rooftop distributed project in Beijing with a combined capacity of 3.56MW.
The project, covering three warehouse rooftops with an overall area of 36,000 sq m, will generate an annual 4 million kW·h of clean energy, significantly reducing electricity costs and eliminating 3,988 tons of carbon and 1600 tons of standard coal.
“We are delighted to participate in one of the biggest solar projects in China to use light and flexible modules. This marks another milestone for the S-Flex in terms of its acceptance for global deployment,” commented Wang Qi, the company’s Sales Director. “Sunport’s S-Flex module series was developed to expand solar energy installation scenarios, especially those with low mechanical-loading, and we are confident it will help unlock more possibilities for our global customers in the promising distributed project market.”
