Registering double-digit growth in visitor count as well as exhibition space over its previous edition, the  smarter E India 2024 proved an undoubted highlight of the industry calendar in the subcontinent. Commencing with an announcement by PM Narendra Modi regarding a significant increase of solar rooftops across the country, the exhibition and associated conferences brought together thought leaders, decision makers and industry veterans to explore technology solutions and partnerships for the clean energy transition.

In anticipation of the event, Chief Minister of the Gujarati government Bhupendra Patel commented: “The entire world is blessed with different sources of power from nature. Sunlight and water are the best examples of power generating sources across the world. Our Prime Minister has envisaged that India will lead the world in renewable energy in the future and I am delighted that the latest edition of The smarter E India in Gandhinagar brings together multiple exhibitions to take an in-depth look at the latest trends and innovations in this sector.”

Visitors to the 2024 edition of the exhibition included installers and integrators, grid operators, manufacturers and suppliers, large-scale distributors, government officials and policymakers, investors, project developers, EPC contractors and urban planners. The four days of conferences saw over 19 sessions, covering diverse topics including the national hydrogen roadmap, battery & inverter technologies, latest advancements in solar manufactuing and EV charging infrastructure.

Commenting on the positive response to the latest smarter E to take place in the Indian subcontinent, Messe Muenchen India CEO Bhupinder Singh added: “We are delighted to close yet another successful edition in the solar manufacturing hub of Gujarat. This edition has proved once again that this exhibition and conferences bring together the best ideas and winning partnerships that contribute towards India’s Net Zero ambitions. With a renewable energy target of 500 GW by 2030, including a substantial share of solar energy generation, India needs to achieve scale and impact in manufacturing to reach one crore solar rooftops, in addition to securing energy sufficiency for all citizens. We are proud to continue participating in this mission by enabling meaningful handshakes and unlocking business opportunities and look forward to further collaboration with all our customers and partners for the growth and prosperity of this industry.”
