Zonnepark-Dorst, a ground-mounted PV Power plant located in the Dutch city of Dorst, has been completed. Deploying exclusively Tongwei TNC G12 66 modules, this marks the first N-type 210mm large-format module project to be built in Europe. The project, financed by Groendus and implemented by Zonnestroom Nederland, has a total installed capacity of 13.62MW and is expected to generate an annual 11.92 million kWh of electricity, meeting the consumption needs of 7,060 households and eliminating 11,200 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

Marvin Bonaparte, Procurement Manager at Tongwei’s Dutch distributor Memodo, commented: “We are delighted to have cooperated with Tongwei on the completion of Europe’s first G12 TOPCon module project. The outstanding performance of the company’s modules continues to fill us with confidence. The rapid progress of this project to completion not only demonstrates Tongwei’s strength, but also provides us with an excellent project case.”

In utility-scale and C&I scenarios, TNC-G12 66 modules have higher installed capacity and lower EPC costs. Thanks to their low voltage design, more modules can be connected in a single string, and the power generated is some 30% higher than that of a conventional module/string set up.

Jelle Schenk, Director of Purchasing and Partnerships at Zonnestroom Nederland, added: “Before choosing Tongwei TNC-G12 modules, we conducted in-depth market research and technical evaluation. The TNC-G12 modules can be quickly supplied to the market and, after testing and verification, they have shown exceptional performance in efficiency improvement and stability, which ultimately led to our choice.”

Memodo CEO Erik Bijl continued: “The completion of the project not only provides a large amount of clean energy for the local area, but also plays an active role in energy security and environmental protection. It enriches the local power structure, reduces carbon emissions and air pollution, and helps promote the regional energy structure to become cleaner and more sustainable.”

To meet global demand for TNC-G12, Tongwei’s Hefei base has upgraded 6 production lines, with a daily single-line production capacity of 3,400 units, ensuring a stable product supply.

Tongwei sales director for PV business in the EU, Lilian Li, concluded: “We are very grateful for the trust and support of Memodo, Zonnestroom and all our partners. With everyone’s concerted effort, we have quickly introduced TNC-G12 modules into the European market. As the continent’s first N-type 210mm large-format module project, the completion of the Dorst plant not only proves Tongwei’s leading position in the PV industry, but also lays a solid foundation for our future global market expansion.”
