Trina Solar has been included in the Forbes China list of top 50 innovative companies for 2023.
Trina is also among a separate Forbes China listing of the top 10 new energy S&T companies, based on its leadership in the PV and energy storage sectors and its commitment to scientific and technological innovation.
Forbes singled out the company for this achievement, commenting: “Only a few players in the PV industry have managed to remain at the forefront of innovation for the past two decades.”
Leading PV companies have figured prominently in the increasing number of patent and software copyright applications, with Trina itself having lodged over 3,200 as of the second quarter of this year.
Chairman and CEO Gao Jifan, added: “In addition to investing time and effort on its own innovations, Trina Solar also collaborates separately with other companies in the industry chain.”
The company has previously been recognized in several other prestigious lists for its outstanding efforts in innovation, including Reuters’ ‘Top 100 Energy Transition Innovators’, where it was the only Chinese representative.
